ELLEN GERMANn

Ellen has been weaving for over 40 years. She learned the ancient craft at the Manchester Arts Institute in Manchester, NH, and has continued advancing her skills and techniques through workshops and seminars. She studied under Peter Collingwood and then his son, Jason, both world renown rug weavers. In 2010, Ellen opened Moss Creek Weaving Studio in her home in West Lafayette, IN. She was also a member of the successful Artists Own art coop in Lafayette. In 2019, Ellen and Moss Creek Weaving moved to Marstons Mills on Cape Cod where she introduced the area to her favorite craft. In addition, she was a member of Collections Gallery in Sandwich and the Falmouth Arts Center. The studio closed in 2023 and Ellen moved to our own North Reading. Although she no longer has room for her beloved rug loom, Ellen is still creating beautiful handcrafted weavings.
